Terms of Use
Established: November 5, 2026 / Last Revised: November 8, 2026
These Terms of Use (these "Terms") set out the conditions for using CallPalette (also published in Japan as
"g電話帳" / gContacts, the "Free Version") and gContactsPro (the "Pro Version," together with the Free Version,
the "App(s)") and the related website provided by the gContacts Developer ("we," "us"). By installing or
using the App(s), you agree to these Terms.
Article 1 (Service)
The App(s) are contacts apps for Android. They let you view and edit the contacts on your device, place calls,
decorate contact photos, save places shared from Google Maps as contacts, and manage birthdays and anniversaries.
Features may change as the App(s) are updated.
Article 2 (Free Version and Advertising)
- The Free Version is free to install and use, and shows advertising. We use Google AdMob to deliver ads.
- How information is handled for advertising and analytics is described in our
Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- Ads are delivered by third parties. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for the products and services they promote.
Article 3 (Pro Version and Paid Features)
- The Pro Version is a paid app offered only in Japan. It does not show ads.
- Price, payment and refunds for paid products are handled through Google Play and follow
Google Play's terms of service
and its refund policy. The price shown on Google Play at the time of purchase applies.
- Except where required by law or stated by Google Play, we do not provide refunds for purchases already made.
Article 4 (Your Data and Permissions)
- The App(s) request access to your contacts and, if you choose, your device calendar, in order to provide their features.
Contacts, call history, photos and calendar events are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers.
- Notes, social links and decoration information saved in a contact may sync through Google Contacts or another account
service according to your device settings, and may be read by other apps that have contacts permission.
- You are responsible for backing up your own data. Please back up your contacts before using features that edit or delete them in bulk.
Article 5 (Prohibited Conduct)
When using the App(s), you must not:
- violate any law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others;
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the App(s), or redistribute them, except as permitted by law;
- interfere with the operation of the App(s) or our website, or attempt unauthorized access;
- click advertisements in the Free Version fraudulently or in an automated way; or
- use the App(s) in any other way we reasonably judge to be inappropriate.
Article 6 (Intellectual Property)
The copyright and other intellectual property rights in the App(s) and the website belong to us or the respective rights holders.
These Terms do not transfer any such rights to you. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App(s)
for your own personal use on your devices in accordance with these Terms. Your own contacts and photos remain yours.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
- The App(s) are provided "as is." We do not warrant that they are free from defects, errors or interruptions,
or that they are suitable for any particular purpose, including emergency calling.
- The App(s) depend on Android, Google services and your device. We are not responsible for problems caused by them,
by changes to them, or by other apps.
- The App(s) can edit and delete contacts. Please check your changes. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible
for loss or corruption of data.
- The links we provide to third-party sites and services (such as Google Maps and social services) are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Article 8 (Limitation of Liability)
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of
or inability to use the App(s). Where we are liable to you in connection with the Pro Version, our liability is limited to the
amount you paid for it, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow such a limit.
Nothing in these Terms limits the rights of consumers that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Article 9 (Suspension, Changes and Termination of the Service)
We may change, suspend or end all or part of the App(s) or the website, or change the way they are provided, when we reasonably
need to, for example for maintenance or because of changes in the platforms they depend on. Where practical we will tell you in advance.
You can stop using the App(s) at any time by uninstalling them.
Article 10 (Changes to these Terms)
We may change these Terms when we reasonably need to. The revised Terms take effect when they are posted on this website,
and we will tell you about material changes on this page or in the App(s). If you keep using the App(s) after the change,
you are treated as having accepted the revised Terms.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute arises between you and us about the App(s), the Nara District Court
(or, where applicable, the Nara Summary Court) shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance, unless the law gives you
the right to bring the case in another court (for example, a consumer's mandatory right).
