Privacy policy
Established: November 8, 2026 / Last revised: November 8, 2026
This privacy policy explains how NOE Create ("we," "us") handles information in the Android app Greeting Notes (the "App").
1. Summary
- The names, addresses and records on your list are stored on your device and are not sent to our servers. We run no servers for the App, and there is no account.
- Contacts access is optional and is used only when you import people from your contacts.
- For ads (Google AdMob) and usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase), device identifiers such as the advertising ID, information about how the App is used, diagnostic information, and an approximate region estimated from the IP address are sent to Google.
2. Information stored on your device
What you enter in the App (family and given names, titles, postal codes and addresses, the deceased flag, each year's sent, received and mourning records, and the address-checked flag) is stored in the App's private storage (a database) on your device. We do not send this information to ourselves or to any third party.
- Android backup: if backup is turned on in your device settings, Android may back up the App's data to your Google account. Google manages the backup, and we cannot see its contents.
- Exported files: files you export (such as CSV) are saved where you choose and are passed to other apps or services by your own action. From then on they are handled under the terms of those apps or services.
3. Contacts access (READ_CONTACTS, optional)
The App asks for permission to read your contacts (READ_CONTACTS) only when you use the feature that imports people from your contacts. The permission is optional; the App works without it.
- The App reads the names and addresses of the contacts you import. What you import is stored on your device as described in section 2.
- Your contacts are never sent to our servers or to advertising or analytics providers.
- The App has no permission to write contacts and does not change or delete them.
- You can revoke the permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Greeting Notes → Permissions.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App is free and uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob automatically collects the following for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention:
- Device identifiers such as the advertising ID and the app set ID
- IP address (used to estimate an approximate region)
- Interactions in the App, such as ad views and taps
- Diagnostic information about how the App and the SDK perform
Where you consent (or where consent is not required), ads may be personalized to your interests. For how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. You can change ad personalization in your Android advertising ID settings or in Google's ad settings.
5. Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To improve the App, we use Google Analytics for Firebase. It collects the app instance ID, the advertising ID, interactions such as screen views and app opens, and an approximate region estimated from the IP address. The names, addresses and records on your list and the contents of your contacts are not included. We use analytics only to understand how the App is used in aggregate, and Google processes it on our behalf.
6. Consent (Google UMP)
In regions where the law requires consent, such as the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent to the use of information for ads. You can review or change your choices at any time from the privacy settings in the App menu. If you do not consent, you can still use the App and will see non-personalized ads.
7. Network use
The App uses the internet only to show ads, for usage analytics, and to ask for consent. It never sends the information on your list. Information is sent over encrypted connections (TLS).
8. Sharing with third parties
Except for what is sent to the Google services described in sections 4 to 6, and where required by law, we do not provide information to third parties. We do not collect information that identifies you personally, such as your name or email address.
9. How to delete your data
- Delete one household at a time by opening it in the App and tapping Delete.
- Delete everything in Android Settings → Apps → Greeting Notes → Storage → Clear storage, or by uninstalling the App.
- A backup in your Google account can be deleted from Backups in Google Drive. Delete exported files yourself where you saved them.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
Step-by-step instructions are on the Support page.
10. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13.
11. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy when needed. The revised policy takes effect when it is posted on this page, and we will tell you about material changes on this page or in the App.
