Terms of use
Established: November 8, 2026 / Last revised: November 8, 2026
These Terms of Use (these "Terms") set out the conditions for using Greeting Notes (the "App") and the related website provided by NOE Create ("we," "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Article 1 (Service)
The App is an Android app for keeping the people you send holiday and seasonal cards to, grouped by household. It lets you keep that list, record each year's sent, received and mourning status, export and import files, and optionally import people from your contacts. Features may change as the App is updated. The App does not print, post or deliver cards.
Article 2 (Price and Advertising)
- The App is free to install and use, and shows advertising. We use Google AdMob to deliver ads.
- How information is handled for advertising and analytics is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- Ads are delivered by third parties. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for the products and services they promote.
Article 3 (Your Data and Permissions)
- The information you enter in the App is stored on your device and is not sent to our servers.
- Only if you choose, the App asks for access to your contacts in order to import people from them. The App does not change your contacts.
- Please handle the personal information of the people on your list responsibly and only for personal purposes such as sending greetings.
- You are responsible for backing up your own data. Please export your notes to a file before changing or resetting your phone.
Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)
When using the App, you must not:
- violate any law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others;
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the App, or redistribute it, except as permitted by law;
- interfere with the operation of the App or our website, or attempt unauthorized access;
- click advertisements fraudulently or in an automated way; or
- use the App in any other way we reasonably judge to be inappropriate.
Article 5 (Intellectual Property)
The copyright and other intellectual property rights in the App and the website belong to us or the respective rights holders. These Terms do not transfer any such rights to you. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for your own personal use on your devices in accordance with these Terms. The information you enter remains yours.
Article 6 (Disclaimer)
- The App is provided "as is." We do not warrant that it is free from defects, errors or interruptions, or that it is suitable for any particular purpose.
- The addressee formats, titles, address order and seasonal timing that the App shows or exports are a guide. Please check them yourself before sending.
- We do not warrant that exported files can be imported correctly into other companies' software or services.
- The App depends on Android, Google services and your device. We are not responsible for problems caused by them, by changes to them, or by other apps.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or corruption of data.
Article 7 (Limitation of Liability)
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights of consumers that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Article 8 (Suspension, Changes and Termination of the Service)
We may change, suspend or end all or part of the App or the website, or change the way they are provided, when we reasonably need to, for example for maintenance or because of changes in the platforms they depend on. Where practical we will tell you in advance. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
Article 9 (Changes to these Terms)
We may change these Terms when we reasonably need to. The revised Terms take effect when they are posted on this website, and we will tell you about material changes on this page or in the App. If you keep using the App after the change, you are treated as having accepted the revised Terms.
Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a dispute arises between you and us about the App, the Nara District Court (or, where applicable, the Nara Summary Court) shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance, unless the law gives you the right to bring the case in another court (for example, a consumer's mandatory right).
